Pacific Island Ministries' teachers prepared to leave Ambunti for their various village teaching assignments along the Sepik River, its tributaries, and other communities in the central range and foothills. (January, 2008, Papua New Guinea)
Airstrip Project
PIM partners with villagers to construct airstrips. Besides completing the Yatoam Airstrip, the strip at Klauhau was opened and the people of Maoqi, Hambuken, Bitara, and Sio are in the process of clearing trees, leveling ground, and digging drainage ditches.

The Yatoam Airstrip was opened in October of 2004.
Water Tank Project
To improve the health of the Sepik villagers by preventing disease from contaminated drinking water, PIM has installed over 145 rain water storage tanks in more than 100 villages.
We presently need funding to replace many of these tanks that have rusted beyond repair. We will replace the old metal tanks with plastic tanks that will double the service life of the tank.
If you would like to help us provide clean water to the people of the Sepik River Basin, please visit the support link at the top of the page.
