Church Development
PIM promotes church growth by training pastors and teachers in its short courses.
Located in the village of Nagri, the Nagri Bible Institute trains pastors, women leaders and teachers. The courses for pastors are taught by Eric Schering and David Wakuri.
Nagri Bible Institute
When the school begins in mid-February, we are expecting 7-10 students in the Bible school, a smaller figure than previous years. The teachers are Ray Wangumbi and Albert Mangosen.
Courses taught in 2009 (the academic year runs from mid-February to the end of November), included: The Gospel of John, Principals of Leadership, Ten Hot Topics, Church History, Sects and Cults, 1 Thessalonians, Romans, Discipleship, Colossians, Music, Church Administration, Eschatology, Prepare for Battle, 1 Peter and Revelation.
One of the returning students is Desmond, who is married to Carol, a PIM teacher at Amaki. In 2009, Desmond was on an internship in his home village of Amaki, serving as a pastor in the church he and Carol planted. He returns to Nagri Bible Institute this year, hungry to learn, having a much better sense of what he doesn’t know and needs to develop.
