Yatoam

Yatoam is a very isolated village. Friedmann and David Kasen made PIM's first contact with Yatoam in 2000 by hiking 3-4 days. In 2001 a pastor arrived and regular worship services were started. Sunday school also began. The grass airstrip was officially opened in 2004. However, it is a difficult place to fly into for MAF.

PIM School in Yatoam

The PIM school in Yatoam opened its doors in 2007 with 45 children. The school is taught by Jim Wopri, who has ben with PIM since the early eighties. Older students also attend the school and some walk one and a half hours to and from school every day.

Jim and Pamela are both PIM teachers who taught in Latoam, but Pamela is teaching in Niagri now.
